Road Bike Route
This route passes along the main tourist attractions of Żnin County. The journey begins at the market square in Janowiec Wielkopolski on 22 Stycznia Street. We then turn left onto 3 Maja Street, and shortly after turn right toward Rogowo.
Leaving Janowiec Wielkopolski, we ride toward Kołdrąb, passing the Church of St. John the Baptist on the left. Next, we reach Rogowo, where the Church of St. Dorota appears on the right, followed shortly by the market square. At the intersection in the center of Rogowo, we turn left onto a short cobblestone section. At the end of the cobblestone road, we turn right onto Bydgoska Street. At the end of this street, we turn left, pass a petrol station, and at the roundabout, turn right to cross over the S5 expressway.
We continue through Grochowiska Szlacheckie and Marcinkowo Górne, where we stop to see the monument of Leszek the White, cross the narrow-gauge railway tracks, and reach Gąsawa. The cobblestone road leads us to the market square, passing the Church of St. Nicholas. At the first intersection after the church, we turn left toward Biskupin and Wenecja.
In this area, we find the Archaeological Museum in Biskupin, the Interactive Fishing Museum in Biskupin, the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum in Wenecja, and the ruins of the 14th-century defensive castle of Mikołaj Nałęcz, known as the “Venetian Devil.” We ride straight, passing all these attractions. After climbing a rather steep hill, we reach an intersection where we turn left toward Żnin.
In Żnin, at the Leon Lichociński Roundabout, we turn left onto the cobblestone 700-lecia Street. At the end of the street, after crossing the Gąsawka River, we turn left, then right, and arrive at the Żnin market square. Here, the Museum of the Pałuki Region is located, along with the 15th-century town hall tower.
We continue straight along Sienkiewicza Street, then at the end, turn right and shortly after left toward Janowiec Wielkopolski. We cross over the S5 expressway, leave Żnin, and pass through Cerekwica and Żerniki to reach Janowiec Wielkopolski. At the intersection just before the traffic lights, we turn right onto Szkolna Street, returning shortly to the market square in Janowiec Wielkopolski, where the journey began.
