Łabiszyn Island
Park Island, which is located in the centre of Łabiszyn (2.58 ha), is one of the two intra-city islands in the province of Kuyavia-Pomerania. A 19th-century English-style landscape park was created during its makeover. The Noteć and the Notecki Canal surround the island, which contains castle cellars that used to serve as facilities for the fortress.
Currently, this is a venue for cultural events, recreation, and active leisure. From May to September, the marina is open and you can rent watersports equipment (canoes, pedalos). There is also a bike rental and open-air gym.
The tourism infrastructure set up as part of the project to connect Łabiszyn and Barcin with a cycle route and a water route makes it possible to rent road bikes in Łabiszyn and ride to Barcin, from where you can go back to Łabiszyn by canoe. The water route is a 12-kilometre trail along the picturesque stretches of Noteć meadows. The cycle route, which is also around 12 km long, runs through Lubostroń, where there is a classical palace and a park complex.
